Hidden - a Violet Fougère

A sliver of green light in a darkened room. Hidden opens on a cool snap of crushed violet leaf and quick-silver bergamot—the clean edge of a straight razor catching dawn. Within minutes the flash dims, revealing a violet-iris veil shot through with dry spices: star anise, clove, and a wisp of rosemary smoke.

As the bloom withdraws, the walls appear: grainy atlas-cedar boards, ink-black patchouli pages, and the dry root of Indonesian vetiver. Heliotrope and vanillin glow like dust motes in lamplight, while coumarin’s hay-tonka warmth clings to skin like heat on freshly pressed wool.
