How the House Works
The Seasonal Chapter
House of Apocrypha opens four chapters each year — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
Each chapter gathers a small group of natural perfumes around a theme. Bottles are offered by pre-order for a brief window. When the window closes, the chapter closes with it.
Some fragrances return. Some are revised. Some remain in the archive.
There is no constant shop. There is only the current chapter, and the list that knows when it opens.
Chapter Vials
Chapter Vials are 2 ml samples from the current chapter.
They exist for those who wish to experience a fragrance before ordering a bottle. They are available only while the chapter is open — not as a permanent catalogue, not as a standing sample programme.
When the chapter closes, the vials close with it.
Chapter Vials ship every Friday while the chapter is open. Orders placed after Wednesday may ship the following Friday.
Bottle Pre-Orders
When a chapter opens, full bottles are available by pre-order.
You choose the fragrance. You place your order. Payment is taken at checkout.
Once the chapter closes, the work continues: blending, resting, filtering, bottling, and dispatch.
The estimated dispatch window is shown on each product page and in your order confirmation.
The Vial Promise
Every bottle, a companion vial
Every full bottle includes a companion vial of the same fragrance.
Wear the vial first. Open the bottle only when you are certain.
Three days. Different times of day, different moods, different skin temperatures. Natural perfumes open slowly. The first wearing is an introduction. The second is a conversation. The third is when you know.
If the chapter is not yours, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return the unopened, sealed bottle in its original packaging. The vial remains with you. We will refund your order in full.
The Library
Each chapter leaves a record.
As the House grows, past fragrances, editions, and returns are kept in the Library. Some works return unchanged. Some return as revised editions. Some remain closed.
Every fragrance keeps its history. When a formula changes, the edition changes with it.

The current fragrances are revealed. Chapter Vials and bottle pre-orders become available.

Bottle pre-orders close. Chapter Vials are no longer available. The chapter is sealed.

The Work Continues
Fragrances are blended, rested, filtered, bottled, numbered, and prepared.

Bottles leave the studio with their companion vials, in the estimated dispatch window.
